NSA South Sheep - 8 September 2018
For the first time this event was not held on a farm, and in spite of having the infrastructure – roads, buildings and plenty of space, it was a little impersonal.
Graham and I decided to take 4 smart ewe lambs and used the photographs to illustrate other aspects of the breed. This worked well as many had never seen them (those that couldn’t pronounce them!).
We had a 10’ x 10’ stand and made a 9’ x 4’ pen on one side, the boards at the back and two chairs for ‘guests’.
Not a wasted trip, quite a number of people visited us, we had several enquiries – two of them serious. No one can tell what will happen but interest was taken. The main comments were “lovely bright heads” and “super wool”.
Although it is a two and a half hour drive, we felt that all in all a worthwhile exercise.
