BRIDGWATER COLLEGE & SPRING FLOCK VISIT
An interesting day was had at the Bridgwater Spring Flock Visit, where everybody enjoyed seeing the breed in an ‘educational setting’. Many thanks to the team at Bridgwater for taking time out and coming on to campus for us on a Saturday. A report is available to view on the website.
CYNNAL Y CARDI
The Cynnal Y Cardi Project is well under way with a new leaflet now in circulation and we are currently looking at a new banner, a liveried table cloth and more carrier bags carrying our new logo. So keep an eye out for these at shows and sales and feel free to pass on any feedback.
Leaflets are available from the secretary if any members require them. The English Support Group also hold a stock as do Mr & Mrs Tompkins (Hallsford) for members in the North of England.
The Officials of the Society would like to remind you to bear in mind the show etiquette, breed standards and welfare of animals at shows as detailed in previous newsletters.
SHOW SUCCESSES FOR 2012 SEASON

The 2012 show season is upon us and we ask you to record the successes you have (forms on the website or please contact me direct and we can either e-mail or post you one) to enable us to publish a comprehensive list in this years Flock Book. We very much hope that this will encourage members to continue to enter Rare/Native & Traditional breed classes across the UK.

This will be introduced over time and will be initiated for Rams born from Ewes with an S (year 2012) tag onwards. Therefore any ewe lambs born this year will need to be registered if you intend to breed and register subsequent male progeny.
SHOW & SALE CATALOGUES
Following a recent meeting of the Working Committee, please note that there has been a change to the catalogue distribution detailed in the last newsletter. Show & Sale Catalogues WILL NOW BE AUTOMATICALLY SENT to every society member. The Working Committee felt it was important for the history of the breed and a useful reference source for the society . However should anyone prefer not to receive this document please let the secretary know.
ALTERATION TO FORMAT OF AGM & FLOCK BOOK
Just as a reminder, this year we will be initiating a change in the AGM & flock book. It has been proposed to split the AGM information from the flock book. Therefore the AGM information will be sent in October and the Flock book will be sent in the following February to members who have paid their subscription. This will enable the flock book to be completed with up to date information arising from the AGM and accurate data for the year ahead. There will be more details available in subsequent newsletters.
